The use of uncoupling, waterproofing, crack prevention, and vapor management helps to protect grout joints and tiles from damage caused by substrate movement.
Schluter-DITRA is specially designed for ceramic tile and dimension stone installations, acting as both an uncoupling layer and a waterproofing membrane. It also serves as a vapor management layer, allowing for moisture from underneath the tile covering. Additionally, DITRA provides adequate support and load distribution for the tile covering while performing all of these functions.
